Each Chapter serves as a local hub within this global framework, connecting cybersecurity leaders, practitioners, and learners under one banner of ethical leadership and professional growth.
Chapter Membership offers access to a vibrant ecosystem where knowledge, mentorship, and community come together. Members exchange ideas, participate in events, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen both their local chapters and the wider cybersecurity profession.

Membership in the CISO Council is open to cybersecurity leaders who share our commitment to ethical leadership, collaboration, and professional excellence. There are two membership categories, designed to ensure both EC-Council Certified Professionals and non-certified executives can engage fully in the Council’s global leadership community.

Professional Leadership Member
For professionals who hold an active EC-Council certification (e.g., CCISO) and have paid their Continuing Education (CE) Fee in full. Certified Members automatically qualify for Chapter participation and enjoy unrestricted access to the Council’s programs and events. Applicants may submit recognized professional certifications, including those issued by EC-Council, as part of their credentials.*

Professional Community Member
For senior cybersecurity executives, CISOs, CTOs, CIOs, and Heads of Cybersecurity, who may not currently hold an EC-Council certification. Applicants must have at least 15 years of professional experience and agree to uphold the Global CISO Council Code of Ethics and Chapter Charter.
All members, regardless of category, gain entry into the CISO Council’s trusted global network of cyber leaders, mentors, and innovators.
Eligibility
Membership Criteria
To qualify for membership in the Global CISO Council:
You must hold a senior cybersecurity or technology leadership role (CISO, CIO, CTO, VP, or equivalent)
You must typically have 15+ years of professional experience in technology, cybersecurity, or risk leadership
You must agree to uphold the Global CISO Council Code of Ethics, Charter, and governance policies
Membership approval is subject to Chapter and Council review

All Global CISO Council Chapters are hosted on Mighty Networks, our official digital community platform designed to bring members together in one connected space. Upon joining, members are seamlessly redirected to their personalized accounts, providing immediate access to chapter resources, leadership discussions, polls, forums, events, and peer engagement opportunities.
Each Chapter operates within its own dedicated digital space while remaining connected to the broader Global CISO Council network, ensuring strong local relevance alongside global collaboration.
